How can you stimulate the exchange of experiences? First, I like to analyse and describe the existing situation, starting point is the design approach of engineers.
- Formulate criteria which define a good curriculum (see ….). The criteria should support the design process and should be useful in different visions in show an effective approach for CD. The criteria will force the developers to clarify how they will operationalize the criteria in their context.
- Make a new systematic description of the procedure for CD which is practical oriented. The procedures will be based on the approach in real projects (so the procedures should reflect to work with uncertainties) combined with research in CD (so the procedures should reflect evidence based approach). For example there is a difference between CD of a complete new curriculum, an upgrade of an existing curriculum or a curriculum which have to renewed in more aspects.
- Give an overview of the research results in such a way that you can use it in CD. But how can you do that? Books are not really working??
- Develop ideas how to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Two possibilities are: good practices and the formulation of design rules. Other ideas will be necessary: for example start a blog like studiesuccesho.
- Develop idea how to ‘ train’ teachers and education experts in CD at a Master level. The aim is that they understand the basics. Input for SKO en BKO?!
